Telemedicine consent

What you agree to when you book, and how recording consent stays separate from treatment.

Consent to a video consultation

By booking, you agree to be assessed by video. You understand the doctor may not be able to examine you in person, and may ask you to attend a local clinic or hospital if video is not enough.

You can stop a visit. The doctor can end a visit that is not clinically appropriate and will say why in the record.

Recording

Recording is optional and separate from consent to be treated. At the start of a visit you can allow or refuse a recording. Refusal does not cancel the consultation.

A recording, when made, is stored encrypted. Access is limited to the treating doctor and authorised staff, each access is logged, and the file is deleted after 90 days unless a complaint or a legal duty requires longer.

Photos and reports

Photos and reports you upload are part of your record. Please do not upload another person’s information unless you are their parent or guardian and the visit is for them.
